Paws 4 A Cause
Frequently Asked Questions
About Paws 4 A Cause – Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is Paws 4 A Cause?
A:
Paws 4 A Cause is a nonprofit rescue organization dedicated to saving, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs in need—especially German Shepherds and other at-risk breeds. Our mission is to give homeless and abandoned dogs a second chance at a safe, loving future through rescue, responsible adoption, community education, and compassionate care.

Q: What breeds does Paws 4 A Cause support?
A:
Paws 4 A Cause primarily focuses on rescuing German Shepherds and German Shepherd mixes, as they are one of the most frequently surrendered and misunderstood breeds. However, we are not breed-exclusive. When space and resources allow, we also help other large-breed and mixed-breed dogs in need who would otherwise have limited options.

Q: Does Paws 4 A Cause have a physical shelter location?
A:
No. Paws 4 A Cause is a foster-based rescue and does not operate a brick-and-mortar shelter. All of our dogs live in loving foster homes where they receive individualized care, training, and attention while they wait to be adopted. This home-based model helps us better understand each dog’s personality and needs so we can make the best possible matches with adopters.
